This isn’t an official confirmation of Rutgers’ bowl destination. However, there is smoke coming from the bowl game out of the Bronx which we’ve been covering extensively throughout the latter part of this football season.

Here’s how Rutgers has faired in the Pinstripe Bowl and the last couple of matchups at Yankee Stadium:

  • Rutgers is 1-1 in the game with a loss in 2013 to No. 25 Notre Dame after defeating Iowa State in 2011

  • Minnesota beat Syracuse in 2022

  • Maryland dominated Virginia Tech in 2021

  • ‘Cuse beat Kansas State in the bowl’s first-ever game in 2010
